AnLedger Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026. AnLedger is designed as an offline-first Android finance app with user-controlled backups, exports, imports, and sharing.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AnLedger, LLC handles information in connection with the AnLedger mobile application.

AnLedger is designed as an offline-first personal finance application. The app stores financial records locally on the user's device and does not operate an AnLedger cloud account service for transaction history, balances, payees, categories, budgets, reports, or books.

Information Stored by the App

AnLedger may store book names, account names, balances, transaction history, payees, categories, classifications, projects, budgets, recurring bills and deposits, report settings, widget settings, backup settings, and app preferences locally on your device.

AnLedger may also store optional notes and optional contact or financial-institution information that you choose to enter or import into the app.

Information We Do Not Collect Through an AnLedger Server

AnLedger does not transmit your local financial data to AnLedger servers. We do not receive or maintain a server-side copy of your books, transactions, account balances, categories, payees, budgets, reports, backup files, or notes unless you intentionally send information to us for support.

User-Controlled Sharing, Backup, Restore, Import, and Export

You may choose to back up, restore, import, export, print, email, share, or save files using device storage, file pickers, email apps, cloud storage providers, or other apps installed on your device.

When you choose those actions, your information is handled by the destination app, service, or storage provider you select. AnLedger cannot control the privacy or security practices of third-party apps, cloud providers, email providers, document viewers, or file managers.

Permissions

AnLedger may request device permissions to provide app features, such as storage or file access for backup, restore, import, and export features; calendar access for optional reminders; and notification access for recurring bill or deposit alerts when enabled.

Permission requests are used to support app functionality and are not used to send your financial records to an AnLedger server.

Crash Reports and Support Emails

If the app encounters an error, you may be offered the option to send a crash report by email to [email protected]. Crash reports may include technical information such as app version, Android version, device model, stack trace, and optional comments you provide.

Crash reports should not include your full financial book unless you choose to attach or send additional files.

Children's Privacy

AnLedger is intended for personal finance and household finance use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an AnLedger server.

Security

AnLedger is designed to keep data local to your device. You are responsible for protecting your device, backups, exported files, cloud storage, passwords, and shared files. Use device lock features, secure backups, and trusted storage locations.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because AnLedger stores data locally, your records remain on your device until you delete them, delete a book, uninstall the app, clear app data, or remove backup/export files from the locations where you saved them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will identify the effective date. Continued use of AnLedger after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
